Lots of newness!

I've been making lots of wedding items, which il share with you another day, but today I had a play with some new papers and stamps.

This little chap is a house mouse stamp coloured with spectrum noir pencils, and I love the way it turned out.  I inked around the edges with blue ink to match the rain drops.  The papers are from my stash, the buttons are gorjuss girls, I used docrafts die cutters and the sentiment is from crafters asylum.
And finally my foxy card and envelope.
The papers are called a fox tale, and I don't know who makes them, but I picked them up in the range for £2.99, a bargain for 12x12 paper set.  The buttons and orange gem are from docrafts owl folk range, and the sentiment from hobbycraft.  I finished it off by creating a matching envelope, which seals with a ribbon at the back.

Thanks for looking , tam x

Magical dreams

I was very lucky to be a guest designer for crafting with dragonflies this week, so I made this card for there 'magical' theme.

To create this card I decided to use this gorgeous stamp from the gorjuss girl range, it's called the runaway, and reminds me of a unicorn. I coloured her in with promarkers, and inked around the edge with blue ink.  I added some embossed stars, and some letters and bobs your uncle lol!  I also decided to make an envelope too, as she is a pretty big card.  All the products I used are either from my stash or from docrafts.
I hope lots of you will play along with the challenge on crafting with dragonflies, (find the link on the right hand side of my blog!) it is a beautiful beautiful theme, have lots of crafting fun, and thanks for stopping by, tam xx

My first commission card

Well, I was shocked the other day to asked to make a card by someone, after spinning around in circles and jumping up and down in front of my hubbie (normal day to day behaviour for me!) I make a start and thinking about what I was going to make.  Now the biggest problem I had was that I don't have any 'baby' themed stamps drat! So I tottled off to Hobbycraft to see what I could find, I was quiet happy with the bits and pieces I discovered! Here is the card and envelope box I made! Yes an envelope box I love them!

I so hope my friend will be pleased, fingers and toes crossed!
I used baby embellishments- hobbycraft
Bazzils card
Cricut
X cut die cutters
Docrafts lace and ribbons
Rose and eyelet from my stash
Crafters companion envelope box maker

I had so much fun with this card, and really enjoyed customising the envelope to match, I really feel it adds to the card.

Oh she's a gorjuss girl!

Locked myself away today, in my conservatory, to settle down and work on a birthday card for my friends birthday at the end of the week.  I decided to use one of my gorjuss girls stamps an colour her in with my promarkers.  Again, I still enjoy making shaped cards so thought I would do another lol.  The majority of the products are docrafts, but the leaf is cut out from a new thinlet I bought which is part of craft asylum range, it cut amazing! And I love it!

I have decided to enter this card into
crafty catz challenge - there theme is flowers.
Lil patch of crafty friends-anything goes
Crafting with dragonflies-flowers
Could I just say to all the people looking after these challenges, if I haven't done this right, which I'm sure I haven't I am really really sorry, I have gotten myself into such a pickle with the linking thing, I don't know if I've linked my whole blog or my page, and have just spent over an hour trying to add my card and getting really confused by it all.  I am trying to do this on my iPad, but I am wondering if it might be easier via the computer.  Please do let me know how I can everything you are asking. :-)

The link to the pages can be found on the top right hand side, as I haven't learnt to link directly from my entry yet!

Stampin up fun!

Well I've been on holiday for 2 weeks, and during that time I got the opportunity to go along to a 'stampin up' get together and have a try of their products! I have to say I was pretty impressed by there inks (and the fab colours!) the stamps were also good, the image looked clean and the detail was precise-something I look for in stamps. I ended up buying the min petal punch and stamp set bundle as I couldn't resist! Here's what I made on the day!

I love the detail on these flowers, and the colour of that ink!

And here is what I made at home once my new stuff arrived! It took less than a week which was super!

You can't see it in the picture, but I punch the flowers out and raised the paper. I used dove craft sweet parties papers, santoro gorjuss girl ribbon, doc rafts backing paper, and gems, and sentiments from my hobbycraft pack. Very very pleased with my new purchase, and I feel a review coming on!

Sunflower fun!

Well, my new card was inspired by the docraft challenge, which was a picture of a sunflower, I made another shaped card because I'm not fed up with them yet lol.
I used a tilda and Edwin image, which I coloured with my new spectrum noir pencils, which I can't quite decide if I like or not yet, I feel I have lots to learn.
I used docraft die cut flowers, and then used holographic embossing powder in the centre to make to look a little like seeds. The paper is bellisma, and the lace was purchased from the works.
And finally, I thought I would share some pictures from amazing Cornwall, we visited St.ives over the weekend in the lovely sunshine :-)

Completely gorgeous I am so lucky to live here xx

Something new, something blue!

Blue isn't a colour I use very often, and I don't know why, as I love the blue palette, but after buying some new blue inks I decided to put them to good use.

Another shaped card, as I fallen in love with this style. I used papermania docrafts products- simply floral paper, bellisma die cuts, embossing folder and the textured cardstock I reviewed in my previous post.  Finished it off with some gemstones, ribbon, crochet lace, and a tiny bit of glitter on the butterfly's wings and edge of ribbon. Hopefully the birthday girl will be pleased at the end of the week.  Thanks for visiting again, tam

Wedding preparations

Well it's not long till the wedding now, and I've started to make some thank you cards to give to those special people who have so kindly helped us with an element of the wedding.  I made this card for my lovely friend Marie, who had kindly volunteered to do my make up, as I don't have a clue!

I picked up some new bits this week, which I decided to have a play with, I love the new flowers I purchased from hobbycraft, and based the colours around these. I used bellisma papers from papermania and my new dollie die cutter, scrummy!  The image is by Santoro, and the other items are just odds bits I had in my craft room.
Thank for looking and come back soon tam xx

Review an item! Papermania premium textured cardstock

Well I've decided to start a new feature on my blog, every week I'm going to review something and today it's this wonderful stuff .......

Once upon a time I use to think plain cardstock was one of the most boring things I had to purchase, the colours were never quite right, there was no texture and you'd be left we've several pages you just would just never use, not until these I discovered these bad boys! There are 72 sheets per pack, and each one is a slightly different shade, meaning you can find exactly what you want, theyre a superb weight and have a grainy appearance.  They edge ink amazingly well, and work wonderfully with embossing folders.  I am completely smitten.  They also come in three difference size as well.  The only downside is you only one of each shade, but I'm not finding that a problem at all.  Price is ok, I paid just over £3 for a small packet, and just over £4 for a medium.  So all I can say is go get yourself a packet! Having fun in the conservatory!

Well, it was beautiful and sunny yesterday, and I've had plenty to do with wedding planning, so  I didn't get to any crafting till the evening, which is was sorry about as it was so hot in my crafting space.  Although it has been hot today, the sun has been hidden away so I managed to do some more crafting this afternoon with the door and window open lol.
I've been busy making a thank you card for some family members out in Canada, and it had to be something special.  I had so much fun making this card, it is the first shape card I have ever made, and it all went well, apart from joining at the top the card doesn't open all the way, but that doesn't matter.

Unfortunately the photos aren't wonderful as I had to 'launch camera' as for some reason my previous photos didn't save.

I used mostly docraft products, the coloured papers are amazing, every shade of the rainbow, I used simply floral papers for the background and flowers, sentiments from hobby craft (there own range), and I inked the edges with ink, I so love that technique right now.  The die cutters I used are also from docrafts. The image is a tilda stamp, unfortunately I don't know the name of this one, but I know I need to buy more of them they are a joy to work with.  The flowers I embossed the edges with holographic embossing powder.

I would like to enter this card into simonsaysstamp Wednesday challenge because I have used one of my favourite products and used one my favourite techniques.  The product is docrafts premium textured cardstock, and the technique is inking edges, loving that at the mo!

Thanks again for looking tam xx

2 new cards

Hi, well today I have two new cards, the first is a box card for my daughters birthday, I'm really pleased how this turned out using my new santoro gorjuss girl papers

And secondly I have a card I made using natures gallery papers, and stamps.  I also used a new embossing folder, which I think is gorgorgeous.  I spent quite a while inking edges, and adding a bit of glitter to the flower.  It didn't turn out how I expected, but I am fairly pleased with it.

Well that's all for now folks, more wedding planning is calling! Only 4 weeks to go!

Watch the birdie!

It has been wonderful weather here in Cornwall this week, nearly to hot to sit in the conservatory.  I've been busy playing around with the new natures gallery papers and stamps that I treated myself to last week.  When they first came out I really wasn't very interested, but they grew on me the more I looked at them, I think it must have been all the gardening I've been doing lately.
Docrafts natures gallery papers, stamps, ribbon, docrafts lace, promarkers and spectrum noire pens, large flower bloom, papermania gems and punch, docrafts inks and tilda cut out.

Close up of the birdie!

Thanks for looking, tam x

So many birthdays in April!

Yet again today I have been busy making a birthday card for another friends birthday, for this one I decided to use one of my new Gorjuss girl stamps, I absolutely loving this new range, and picked up several pieces.

Gorjuss girl stamp, papers and buttons, dove craft flowers, santoro ribbon and an x cut butterfly die cutter, and of course promarkers

Float away!

Well, the weather has been absolutely gorgeous here today, and after a hedgehog ice cream at the beach, I spent the rest of the afternoon in my crafting space creating a birthday card for tomorrow.  I enjoyed doing this, and used a sponge and some blue ink to try and create a 'sky' effect behind the balloon.
Docrafts Bellissima papers, glitter glue, docrafts die cutters, papermania card stock, and Anita's ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by, Tammy x

New start new blog!

It has been a very very long time since I have had a blog, and things were very different then, it's great to start off lovely and fresh.  Welcome to my crafting blog! My name is Tammy and I live in Cornwall, where my crafting room is based, in a conservatory out in my garden! I make cards, jewellery, and other bits and pieces, whatever I'm in the mood for really.

Anyway enough of that I have a couple of things to show you to start this blog off, firstly a card I made for a friend who I haven't seen for several weeks.  I made this card with sweet Paris papers and ribbons, x cut die cutter butterfly, and dew drops.

I throughly enjoyed making this.
Then in July I am getting married, and have been a couple of months making 60 invites, each one is slightly different, most of the products are from docrafts.

Thanks for reading, and il catch you all next time. Tam x
